Lashing Knot – Round Details
Found in: Scouting
Also known as: Round Lashing
Use: The Round Lashing Knot is like the one Ashley described for scaffolding (ABOK # 2103, p. 342). It’s used to tie two parallel spars together, making a longer one.
Increased Security: Many descriptions note the challenge of tightening the Round Lashing Knot for security. A common tip is to place two wedges between the poles: one above and one below the lashing. This tightens the Round Lashing Knot and makes it more secure.
